Kevin Gallagher joins Private Thoughts to discuss the role of encryption tools in protecting journalists and free speech. Gallagher works as a Systems Administrator for Freedom of the Press Foundation and has published articles in The Daily BeastThe GuardianHuffington PostNew York Observer and Daily Dot. He founded the Free Barrett Brown organization to provide legal aid to journalist and activist Barrett Brown among other whistleblowers.
